Bookmarklet

  • The iterasi bookmarklet provides a simple, lightweight method to capture web pages and save them to your iterasi archive. When selected, the Bookmarklet runs some JavaScript in your browser which grabs the URL you are viewing and sends it to our datacenter in the cloud. Once there our hardware will go get the page, notarize it, and save it into your account. Plus, since a bookmarklet is basically a link, the iterasi Bookmarklet solution works with any browser.

Public Search

  • Anyone can now search among the public pages archived by iterasi users. (Note that pages marked Private when archived are NOT AVAILABLE in the Public Search area). The Public Search, available under the Community tab, offers four main views: by Website, by Page, by Tag, or by User. Each has some built in features – what user has the most pages, most popular by views, tag cloud by month, week, day or last hour, etc.

Give our Public Search a test spin and let us know what you think. It’s interesting to see what everyone is archiving. Interesting and different. Different in that each page is selected by a real person. No spiders, no bots, just people who decide that of all the web pages they see, these few are the ones they want to keep.

Import Bookmarks

  • We’ve added support for iPhone, ma.gnolia and Safari bookmarks! Now you can make permanent copies of your bookmarks from iPhone (via IE or Safari syncing), ma.gnolia, Safari, delicious, Firefox and Internet Explorer, or any application that exports in standard bookmark format. Never worry about losing the page that your bookmark points to again! You will be prompted to run Import Bookmarks when you install iterasi. You can run it then or at any time later. When you import bookmarks you can choose to Notarize pages once or use the Scheduler to capture them once a day, week or month. Any subsequent run of Import Bookmarks will detect only those bookmarks that changed or have been added since the previous import.

Mac Support

  • iterasi is now available on the Mac! We support Firefox 2 and 3 on Intel and PowerPC Macs running OS X 10.5. The Mac support joins our previous family which includes Firefox 2 and 3 and Internet Explorer 7 for Windows Vista and XP systems. Note that all features described here exist on all of these platforms.

Scheduler

  • Use the iterasi Scheduler to automatically Notarize pages when you tell it to, without having to be there to push the button. Set up the Scheduler to Notarize a page every day, week or month at a time that you choose. Great for tracking blogs, reviews, retail sites, and just about anything you can think of. Use the Scheduler to build your own history of any website!

iterasi: Your Personal Web Archive

  • With iterasi, you can capture pages in the exact form you see them in your browser and save that captured page in your personal account. We call this process 'Notarizing' a page. That way the page is available to you a day, a month or a year later in its exact form. No more broken links, no more lost pages, no more dependencies on a particular site not changing. Your pages are kept in a personal account on iterasi servers. There, behind a login/password, you can search, share and organize your Notarized pages.

Organize your Archive

  • You can organize pages in your iterasi account with Tags, Folders and Notes. Your Tags are collected into a Tag cloud for easy re-use across pages. We also suggest Tags based on the content of the page.

Search your Archive

  • All the organizational features of iterasi - Tags, Folders, Notes, the website address, the date the page was Notarized, as well as every word in the document - are all indexed for searching. Once you have Notarized a page with iterasi, you can organize it and find it easily.

Public Pages

  • Share your pages with everyone via your own Public Page hosted by iterasi. We provide you with a static URL that you can post on your blog, website or profile page. People who visit your Public Page can request an RSS feed of your public pages, or get a widget of your public pages to host on another website. For any pages that you do not want to share publically, you can mark them as Private and they will not been seen on your Public Page.

Private Pages

  • We recognize that some of the pages you Notarize may be private. Since iterasi allows you to save exactly what you see in your browser you are now able to save information that exists behind passwords – something that is not possible with Bookmarks. So we allow you to mark pages as PRIVATE so that they are kept confidential and viewable only by you and trusted friends and family you choose to share pages with.

Share your Pages via Email

  • Share your Notarized pages with friends, family and co-workers by emailing them a link to your page. They can view your page directly from the email. Sharing is a great way to collaborate on a research project, vacation plan and much more!

Share your Pages via RSS

  • You can follow any user's Public Page using an RSS feed. So your friends, family and co-workers can easily keep up to date on what pages you are saving by subscribing to your RSS feed. Likewise you can follow other users by subscribing to their RSS feed.

Share your Pages via the iterasi widget

  • Use the iterasi widget to display your notarized pages on your blog, website or social profile page. The widget contains thumbnails of the last few pages you Notarized and allows visitors to play back those pages. You can get a widget of all your latest public pages or your public pages containing a specific tag.

Share your Pages using an embed code

  • Each page in your iterasi account can be referenced on the Web with an embed code or a short URL. From your archive, select Embed, which offers either an embed code to display a thumbnail image or link to a Short URL. The thumbnail provides a visual image that can be embedded in your web page or blog. The Short URL provides a small link suitable for your microblog, lifestream or document. Both the embed and the Short URL offer a great way to keep references to other Web pages so you can be sure there will not be a broken or confused link on your web pages.
